Glasgow Elim Football Club are an amateur football team who play in the Strathclyde evangelical churches league Scotland. The team has been set up for outreach to the community of Govanhill where the church is based. The Blue Sox’s hockey club are a social oriented team based in Broomhill, formed specifically for those who love the sport, regardless of skill or ability. Micrositez are proud to support the club financially with strips and equipment to help with their endeavours. The club are involved in a wide ranging social events, as well as coaching kids they actively participate in hockey leagues at committee level. Organised by Scottish Sports Futures, Arc Stars are part of the Rock Basketball Teams community initiatives, with team players from primary 5 through to S1. Through the financial support from Micrositez we have managed to help purchase equipment and strips, which will be showcased this year in the 2011 tournaments. Micrositez director Scot Crone said, “It gives the kids an alternative to the streets. Micrositez are keen to see kids not get involved in crime, drug or alcohol abuse, and that’s why they believe initiatives like this are so worthwhile. We wish every success to the Arc Stars and look forward to seeing them winning in 2011.”.
